HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR

Praise God! I’m back better and stronger.

As you would have heard, FEAR has being said to mean:
F – False
E – Evidence
A – Appearing
R – Real

This meaning to fear is very true. In the past I have experienced fear to the highest level, but thanks to almighty God who brought knowledge of fear and its cause to my path. The starting point of the knowledge is that, I discovered that 95% of our fear or what we fear does not exist. Even the small percentage that is said to be fear, when they exist, they exist in order to make us strong and become better for it, if we don’t allow the fear to set us back.

Many great things have been achieved through a simple system of BELIEVE or what can be also referred to as positive mental attitude. Believe in yourself. Believe that God that created you does not create you to be unable. Each time you begin to feel that you cannot do something, especially when you have prepared for the thing, always remember that such thought is of the devil. Devil is a master of making something that is false, something that is unreal appear real. Such thought is completely false. It is a trick from the devil, the one we have already conquered. Go ahead and do that thing, even if your heart is experiencing accelerated beating. Next time you do that thing; you will be very calm and would have learnt how to do it better.

Are you about to do a thing (probably in the public or a business-wise), but you are afraid that if you make mistake your friends and others will mock you? This is normal, especially when you want to do something for the first time in a public or in a new place. But it becomes abnormal if you allow such thought of fear, the devil’s trick, draw you back from doing that thing.
The simplest way to overcome fear arising from your negative thought is just to counter it or nullify it with another thought but this time the thought is a positive thought. Repeatedly tell yourself that:” I can do it. If so and so can do it, I too can do it. It doesn’t matter if I make mistake or not, all I know is that God has deposited in me the ability to do it. Everybody makes mistakes; even the so called professionals also make mistakes. A house was not built in a day. Even the more mistakes I make and correct, the better and confident I become.” When you wake early in the morning tell yourself all these. Say it out if you wish. Believe that nothing can stop you.

When you are about to do something like standing in the front to address a public, do breath –in exercise and put a smile on your face to calm yourself. Smile or laughter helps to shun off tension. If you need to learn do researches on the matter at hand before addressing the public, do it.
If there are people mocking you out there as you do the things you should do, don’t mind them at all. Remember, as you make more mistakes and correct them you will become stronger, better and more confident. When people laugh you, laugh them back. Laugh with the mind that as they mock or laugh you, you are getting better through continuous action, learning, correction and action.

Their mockery and laughing will not take anything away from you rather they will make you more prepared and better in return. Their mockery or laughing will even teach or point to you how things should not be done.

If not for many mistakes made and corrected, many discoveries we see around us, many inventions we take advantage of today will not have come to existence.

Let their mockery, laughing and their criticism e.t.c. stimulate you to want to do that thing more and more in better trends, till you almost get to a perfect level or a peak. I said till you almost get to a perfect level or a peak because nobody can get to a peak while we are still in this world. That is why professionals themselves will still make mistakes sometimes. That is why there is always a room for improvement for everybody including the professionals. Only God that is at the peak of all good and positive things we do.

In fact, I have not seen or heard of anybody that become truly great without being mocked or criticized before he/she becomes great or a celebrity. What kept great ones in the road they trek to the top is just a simple thought, a thought that every great people hold in their mind before they even become great. It is a thought they hold in their mind as they work towards greatness. And the thought is that “nothing can stop me. Mistakes cannot stop me. Mockery cannot stop me. What my body is saying cannot stop me. What the situations around me are saying cannot stop me. Somebody or something small or big cannot stop me. Nothing can stop till I get to where I am going.”

I can begin to give you the list of people who were mocked severely before they become great: Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, Ben Carson e.t.c. The list is endless.

Those people who become great are not in any way superior to you.

If a man with a meromelia, that is, absence of the two upper limbs and the two lower limbs can still make headway in life, you can do better.
